But it looks like THQ Nordic has now stepped in to offer a helping hand to Remedy Entertainment. This quickly became a hot topic among fans, with many expressing their outrage at the decision. Finally, the studio says it "did not want to ship a disc product and have it require a download for the game." Remedy says that "a large number of have shifted to digital only," whilst also stating that this allows Alan Wake 2 to be priced at $59.99 / €59.99 on consoles and $49.99 / €49.99 on PC. In the FAQ, Remedy Entertainment cites multiple reasons as to why Alan Wake 2 will receive a digital-only release.
